Employment is Worthwhile Workout

Dalton Greenlee gets plenty of exercise when he works. “Some people have a gym; this is my gym.”

Not only does his job at Re-Source York Indoor Yard Sale on Carlisle Avenue, York, require manual labor, Dalton also provides customer service and electronics testing for the retail store.

Needing to transfer out of a group home in Hanover, Dalton discovered Bell, where he found help to secure a suitable living situation in York and this job.

Dalton says he “really likes it” because the “people are great.” Thanks to his job he feels more confident in his abilities and added that he’s become more of a people person since his employment. The one thing he notes that he’d like to improve is his cash register skills.

Dalton is actively pursuing a full-time job at Wal-mart with help from the vocational training staff at Bell. Although he doesn’t have a timetable for his transition, he’ll work at the Indoor Yard Sale until then, he said, describing it as “calming.”
