Cleaning Person
Are you the type of person who likes things tidy and clean? Bring your experience and enthusiasm to this job, helping to create a fresh and homey environment for homeless families at our emergency shelter. Must perform all routine daily cleaning tasks and deep cleaning on all floors of the Shelter and report all necessary maintenance issues. This is a part-time hourly position. Minimum requirements: must be able to lift minimum of 25 pounds. PA State Police background check, Act 33 and/or FBI clearances.
JOBS SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY
Program Coordinator, Adult Training Facility-New Oxford Day Program
Are you a good manager with proven experience and a desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives? The Program Coordinator manages the New Oxford Day Program and staff assigned there, with responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the programs to create an environment where residents receive services of the highest quality. Must be capable of ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and safety regulations. This is a full-time salaried position. Minimum Requirements: Associate’s Degree and four (4) years experience or Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years experience or Master’s Degree and one (1) year experience working directly with persons with Intellectual Disability; minimum age 21 (twenty-one) years; current Pennsylvania Driver’s License; insurable driving record; reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) and free from contagious diseases; Act 33 Clearance and Pennsylvania State Police Background Check.
Individual Service Workers – Support and Empower Living Fundamentals (SELF) Program
Help individuals live as independently as possible in the community when you take on a position in the SELF program. Explore opportunities in hands-on education to assist client-directed learning in regard to personal care, household equipment, money management, using various forms of transportation, and other training. This is a part-time position in the Hanover/Adams and York area. Work hours are flexible and may include evening and weekend hours based on client needs. Minimum requirements: HS diploma/GED. Must be at least 18 years old, possess valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and have reliable transportation. Current physical and Mantoux (TB) test required. PA State Police background check, Act 33 and/or FBI clearances.
Residential Service Workers (York & Hanover locations)
Share your compassionate nature and home management skills by providing “hands-on’ services and support to enable individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to live as independently as possible in a shared residential setting. RSWs are responsible for carrying out all day-to-day duties necessary for the residential programs to operate smoothly. Full- and part-time positions available throughout York County; second and third shifts, and floater shifts available. Minimum requirements: HS diploma/GED. Must be at least 18 years old, possess valid driver’s license for two years, insurable driving record and have reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; and Act 33 and PA State Police background check.
Senior Residential Service Worker
In addition to all qualities and responsibilities expected of a Residential Service Worker (see listing above), the Senior RSY position also assists the Residential Program Supervisor with specific paperwork duties and tasks that must be completed by a set time frame. Full-time positions available throughout York and Hanover counties. Minimum requirements: HS diploma/GED. Must be at least 18 years old, possess valid driver’s license for two years, insurable driving record and have reliable transportation; current physical and Mantoux (TB) test; and Act 33 and PA State Police background check.
JOBS SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS
Caseworker - Social Rehabilitation
Empower individuals living with mental illness by assisting them as they utilize and participate in Bell’s social rehabilitation programs and activities. Your supportive role will include teaching academic, social, and daily living skills with a recovery-based approach. Critical elements include planning and preparing group material, facilitating groups, maintaining & coordinating client caseload, providing supportive counseling, and completing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner. This is a full-time salaried position. Minimum requirements: Associate’s degree or two years of college credits in social science OR two years human service experience; must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and have reliable transportation; PA State Police background check.
Resident Counselor – Community Residential Apartment Services (CRAS)
Come be part of the challenging and rewarding work of a CRAS Resident Counselor. By providing direct care service to consumers in a CRAS group home, you will help with skills training, implement medication monitoring system, respond to client emergencies, assist clients in progress towards goals developed on their individual plans, and complete documentation. This position is responsible for overall maintenance, management, and cleanliness of the facility during the shift and will remain in the residence whenever a client is present. This is a full-time hourly positions schedule consists of working rotating shifts of three nights/days on, six nights/days off. Minimum requirements: one year of college credits in social science, or one year human service experience. Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and have reliable transportation. Current physical and Mantoux (TB) test required. PA State Police background check.
