Woman Empowered event

Thanks to a grant from the Junior League of York, Bell was thrilled to present our first annual “woman empowered” event on August 14.

Open to women of the York area who face the challenges of homelessness, mental illness, poverty, and abuse — and those who work with them to help improve their lives — the FREE August 14 event featured motivational speaker Angela Clay, author of “Loving the Me I See.” Miss Clay delighted the audience with her sassy, savvy enthusiasm as she shared an inspirational message with women about how to build, shape, and maintain positive self-esteem.

Rounding out the 9am to noon event was a fashion show utilizing clothing from the Junior League Thrift Shop, health screening information, and a special bra fitting area. Talk about “uplifting!”
