Klimchock Named Chair, Bell Board of Directors

20170606_135521As of the July meeting, Tim Klimchock, CPA CCIF, Principal with Stambaugh Ness. P.C. and Partner at Stambaugh Ness Business Solutions, LLP, will take over as President of the board of directors for Bell Socialization Services. Tim has served on Bell’s board for a decade, including consecutive terms as treasurer and head of the finance committee.  He replaces Dr. Robert Lease, Jr. who stepped down after many years as president and will now serve as the board’s treasurer.

Continuing to develop a good working relationship with Bell’s leadership team is important to him, Tim said, as he takes on his new role. He considers his strengths to be fairness and consistency, and will foster openness for others to share opinions.

Tim met former Bell executive director, Ike Hileman, at a non-profit roundtable. While Tim was already on one non-profit board, he told Ike he was looking to add a second and that he was looking for an organization and mission he could really care about.  Bell was appealling to Tim because he had personal experience with family members living with mental illness and  could understand some of the challenges faced by individuals and their families.

During his tenure on the Bell board, Tim has been learning more about Bell’s mental health programs as well as the intellectual disability and shelter services Bell offers.  “There is a lot to learn,” he admits.  Wrapping one’s head around everything the organization does – and all the acronyms associated with the programs – can take a while to grasp.

In looking at what the next five years holds for the agency, Tim says he looks forward to Bell developing new programs, increasing awareness of the organization’s vital role in the community, and building a strong and sustainable funding foundation. He

Tim and his wife Jenn live in Manchester Township with their daughter Emma (12) and son Jack (8).   He is an enthusiastic supporter of Penn State University sports.
