New Shelter
No other local shelter does what Bell FAMILY SHELTER does.
Bell’s shelter is for FAMILIES. Whether a mom with her baby or dad with children, Bell’s top priority is keeping the whole family together!
NOW IS THE TIME FOR SOMETHING BIGGER AND BETTER
Our new Bell Family Shelter can house up to 73 people – or 17 families – per night: nearly 900 per year! This is twice as many people than we could house before. It is distressing to tell parents we have no room for them.
IN THE NEW BELL FAMILY SHELTER, MORE FAMILIES WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TURN THEIR LIVES AROUND
It is a lot of work for families experiencing homelessness to secure new housing. With warmth, care, and strong guidance, Bell’s compassionate caseworkers help families identify their personal barriers and help them set goals to turn their lives around. By helping them to access the resources they need, families are empowered to learn to live more independently. The work Bell staff does together with families is not simple. It’s 24/7 and full of struggles and tears.
