This means people are met where they are with respect, developing individualized goal plans, identifying the tools and resources they need to discover the self-empowerment they need to succeed.
You can be a part of that life-enriching equation by supporting Bell Socialization Services, especially during Give Local York, a 24-hour county-wide celebration of philanthropy May 2 – 3, 2024.
Can’t wait? That’s okay. You may show your support with a gift anytime between now and 9:00 p.m. May 2 right here on our Bell website by using our DONATE button. Unless otherwise specified, your gift will be designated toward our 2024 GLY campaign.
And then, from 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2 through 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, we direct you to give through Bell’s page on the Give Local portal at https://www.givelocalyork.org/organizations/bell-socialization-services. Gifts made during that 24-hour period make us eligible for special prizes, stretch pool contributions (which make your gift go further!) and more. Plus, it’s VERY exciting to see your generous and loving support pour in!
Knowing you stand alongside the people who use Bell programs means a lot! You should feel proud to add your name to the list of community members who believe in and actively get us closer to our vision of a community where people are valued and respected and live with dignity!

Lunch Time Hot Dog Sales
SIX local Weis Markets stores will be selling hot dogs with all proceeds benefiting Bell’s GLY campaign – supporting Bell’s person-focused efforts. Swing by to meet Bell employees, service users and board members at Queensgate, White Street, Roosevelt Ave, Red Lion, E. Market Street and Carlisle Ave (Dover) locations.
First Friday in Downtown York
Bring the kids along to participate in our person-focused activity at the Bell booth; we’ll be set up on Beaver Street by the Holy Hound Taproom from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Take-away magnifying glass while they last!

We can do this! We’re looking for 25 of you to make your Give Local York gift to Bell between 9am and 10am on Friday, May 3 to unlock $2,500 from S & H Express!
Special bonus: as an organization in the “Homelessness and Housing” category, we can also be in the running to receive a $1,000 prize if we receive the most donors in the 9 am hour!
