Bell’s International Pillow Fight Day Party

International Pillow Fight Day is this Saturday, April 4. All around the world – in cities like Barcelona, New York, London, Rotterdam, Los Angeles AND YORK, PA – people were looking forward to participating. Until the coronavirus pandemic put the kybosh on public gatherings.

Bell Socialization Services scheduled their 5th annual Bell’s Big Bed Race specifically to fall on International Pillow Fight Day this year and was going to host a big pillow fight to follow the race.

While the Bed Race has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 20 (fingers and toes crossed), THE PILLOW FIGHT WILL GO ON! Not originally as planned, of course, but YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE by showing up IN YOUR OWN HOMES to HOST A PILLOW FIGHT and SHARE YOUR VIDEOS. Gather your isolation mates and your nice soft pillows and enjoy some light-hearted fun.

The Bed Race and the Pillow Fight were planned to bring awareness to the fact that Bell programs provide a safe place to sleep for so many of our York and Adams County neighbors – people with mental illness and intellectual disability, and families experiencing homelessness. At this very moment, dedicated Bell staff are showing up to work to make sure that individuals and families are receiving consistent, quality care.

Join us in celebrating them by hosting your own pillow fight on Saturday and posting your videos to the Bell’s International Pillow Fight Day Party event page with the hashtag: #BellPillowFight2020

And please, spread the word and invite your friends and family, too.
