Day Adopted in Memory of Grammie

Linda Lehr was a long-time supporter of Bell, offering many useful in-kind gifts to help out the Bell Family Shelter over the years. She instilled that same sense of compassion in her daughter, Lisa, who followed in her mother’s footsteps and now supports Bell Family Shelter and is passing along the spirit of giving to her daughter, Harlow.

Although Lisa and Harlow now live in Florida, York is still “home,” Lisa said. They make regular trips north, including a recent visit over the holiday to see family and friends.

As Lisa wrapped up her philanthropic gestures for the end of 2023, she added one particular gift that held a special place in her heart: an Adopt-a-Day supporting Bell Family Shelter, in loving memory of “Grammie.”

We are honored and grateful to receive this generous gift from Lisa and Harlow. Thank you! Grammie would certainly be touched by your kindness, knowing many families will be helped in their time of need.

An Adopt-a-Day donation covers one day’s operating costs ($1,350) at Bell Family Shelter, assuring a safe place to sleep, nutritious meals, and compassionate staff to help York County families experiencing homelessness tonight — a gesture of generosity that will lift up families to a better tomorrow.
