Spreading Holiday Cheer: Kevin Traister’s Tradition of Giving

Kevin Traister, our Director of Human Resources, recently marked his 20th anniversary at Bell in the most meaningful way—by giving back with heart, humor, and generosity. Kevin set a goal to raise $4,000 for the Turkey Traister Fund and, true to form, he once again went above and beyond. Thanks to his dedication and the support of our community, Kevin raised an amazing $5,700 this year!

Now more than 10 years strong, the Turkey Traister Drive has become a beloved Bell tradition, providing holiday meals for individuals and families in our service programs. What began as Kevin’s personal challenge to give back during the holidays has grown into a joyful community effort. Businesses, friends, family members, and Bell staff have all joined in donating generously and embracing the fun for a cause that truly matters.

Due to this fundraiser, turkeys are shared across our housing and support programs and used in holiday meals that bring comfort, warmth, and a sense of togetherness. These meals are more than food—they are a reminder that our community cares and that we are stronger together.

To celebrate surpassing this year’s goal, Kevin proudly suited up in his turkey costume. He spent time with shoppers and business owners at Central Market, bringing laughter, connection, and holiday cheer. Afterwards, he surprised staff and individuals at our Main Office with a visit.
