Happy 25th Belliversary, Mary!
Congratulations to Mary Griest, Assistant Director of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) services as she celebrates 25 years of service to Bell! Mary started her career at Bell as a Direct Support Professional in one of our community living homes, getting to know and serving the needs of individuals living in the home.
Mary has been a part of some individuals’ lives for decades, and still visits with them. She often reminds new staff who come to work in the IDD Residential Services program to remember, “The individuals don’t live where we work; we work where they live, in their home.”
Mary’s compassion and attention to providing quality care has kept her in touch with individuals in the homes even as she advanced into supervisory care roles, then taking on the role of IDD Residential Services Trainer, and then IDD department trainer, before her recent promotion to the position of Assistant Director.
