Congratulations, Lisa Bortner, on 40+ Years of Service

Congratulations to Lisa Bortner, Senior Supervisor of the IDD Social Recreation program, on celebrating her 41st anniversary with Bell.
When Lisa was in high school, her sister Jean attended one of Bell’s evening programs. Lisa said, “I volunteered and enjoyed it. So, I started working part-time in the recreation program.”
After 40+ years, what is her favorite part of her job? “The whole thing!,” Lisa said, “I love coming in and seeing their smiles, hearing the giggles, and meeting the families. I never mind getting up and going to work.”

Lisa was presented with a personalized Bell jacket by her IDD director Angela Weaver and Bell’s exeuctive director, Tony Schweitzer.
Everyone in the social rec room could feel the happiness.
Thank you, Lisa, for the empowering work you do. We are incredibly grateful for you. Happy 41st Belliversary!
