The Rita Patz Good Neighbor Award goes to York Fresh Food Farms!

York Fresh Food Farms is making a difference in our community by providing fresh, locally grown produce and creating opportunities for people to learn, grow, and develop new skills. Its partnership with Oasis House Clubhouse is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Good Neighbor.

Rebecca Franz, Program Coordinator of Oasis House, recognized the impact of this partnership and the opportunities it has created for Clubhouse members.

“York Fresh Food Farms is a great example of how community partnerships can create purposeful Transitional Employment opportunities, encouraging growth,” Rebecca shared.

Through its collaboration with Oasis House, York Fresh Food Farms secured grant funding to create a new Transitional Employment position specifically for Clubhouse members. This opportunity gives members valuable experience in a supportive work environment.

“This partnership has created a meaningful employer relationship and a great opportunity for members to gain work experience, build confidence, develop new skills, and strengthen their employment history,” Rebecca explained.

The connection is especially significant because York Fresh Food Farms’ mission aligns with the Clubhouse’s focus on wellness and personal growth. Working together, these organizations are creating opportunities for members to learn, explore their strengths, and take positive steps toward their employment goals.

Congratulations to York Fresh Food Farms on receiving the 2026 Rita Patz Good Neighbor Award and thank you for being a community partner that helps empower Clubhouse members!
