Re-Source York Supports Shelter
A warm shout out to every one of you who donates to and makes purchases at Re-Source York’s home decor and/or home improvements stores! Your support keeps good usable stuff out of the landfill, provides jobs for Bell service users, and a portion of sales from both stores is donated on a quarterly basis to Bell. Contributions last year (2023) totaled more than $15,000 – and typically work out to more than enough for a full Adopt-a-Day at Bell Family Shelter each month.
February 22, 2024 is adopted by Re-Source York, covering the cost of operations for the day to provide a safe place to sleep, warm meals, and intensive support to help York County families move from homelessness back to independent living.
Moved to discover how many pillows the Shelter goes through – every adult and child who comes into the Shelter receives a new pillow, and then takes it with them when they leave – RSY board members brought pillows to their February board meeting. Amazing support for which we are most grateful!!
