Jessica Putnam Receives 2021 Ivan G. Hileman Award

As the program coordinator for Bell’s Community Hospital Integration Project Program (CHIPP) Assisted Living program, Jessica Putnam oversees three community living homes that each provide 24/7 care for three mental health service users.

Jessica’s supervisor, Kris Stroup, nominated Jessica for the Ivan G. Hileman award because, she says, Jessica’s leadership skills became even more evident this past year as the pandemic changed business as usual, both in dealing with staff shortages and rethinking ways to engage residents when they couldn’t be going out in the community.

Jess shows “a strong commitment to Bell by always ‘being there’,” Kris says, “and she does a great job of teaching and demonstrating Bell’s vision, mission, and values.”  While taking on added responsibilities this past year, Jess made time to volunteer within the mental health department (and in her personal life). Kris added,”She is a great role model and a good example of maintaining a positive attituded and ‘try, try again’ values.”

The Ivan G. Hileman Award is presented to a current Bell employee with 15 or more years of employment and dedicated service, who has in the past year shown particularly note-worthy performance while demonstrating a commitment to being in it for the long haul.
