Winners!

Congratulations to Revival Social Club, winner of both the Judge’s Choice AND People’s Choice awards for Bell’s workplace campaign Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Founder/Owner, Jessica Ayala, was on hand to receive the award certificates – and a chili cook-off champion chef hat – at Central Market York where the competition took place. High marks and big thanks to all six participating restaurants which, in addition to Revival, included:  Holy Hound Taproom, Hype, Mezzogiorno, Mudhook Brewing Company, and Roost Uncommon Kitchen.

Thanks to three chili-tasting judges: Kevin Schreiber, Sandie Walker, and Mary Yeaple, and to the terrific group of student volunteers from Hillel at York College.

Awards were also presented to participants of the Pumpkin Decorating Contest and the Cornhole Tournament activities hosted by Bell as part of the Central Market Pumpkin Fest.

Thank you to Jeff Lau and crew from Mudhook for managing the cornhole tournament and for providing a free growler fill and gift certificates to the top-placed teams.  The prize hand-made, hand-painted cornhole boards were donated, courtesy of the top two teams, to the third-place team, representing Bell’s New Beginnings program. Karen and Jere will certainly find many opportunities to use the boards during mental health social rehabilitation activities.

Three cheers to everyone who came out in support of Bell’s campaign. All money raised from the activities benefits the Impact Fund of the United Way of York County, which supports Bell’s shelter services programs, helping York County families experiencing homelessness and transitioning to independent living.
