Near Homeless Families Helped by Local Company
Snagging our #ThankfulThursday social post for today to share this joyful story of the help that Yorktowne Property Shoppe, LLC has given dozens of families in Bell’s NextDoor program. The NextDoor Program helps York County individuals and families who are homeless, near homeless, or low-income with support services and rental assistance.
Owner of Yorktowne Property Shoppe, LLC, Vineeta Kushla said, “We have worked with the Bell Next Door program for about three years now. Through our years of working with this wonderful program, we have housed countless families (if I had to guess, I would say around 25-30 families over the years).”
She continued, “We understand that this past year has been financially challenging on many families locally, so we wanted to extend our services to the hard-working caseworkers to alleviate the stress of finding housing for their clients.”
“With our collective efforts, we were able to find adequate housing for four families last week. This was a very fulfilling task to know a family has a safe and warm home to live in. We hope to continue to partner with the Next Door program beyond COVID,” said Vineeta.
